Overview

Join Young Professionals of the Americas (YPA) to discuss photojournalist Lisette Poole's newly released book, La paloma y la ley. Poole's first book is about two Cuban women who migrated from Havana to the United States through 11 countries. She followed them every step of the way, documenting the journey with notes and photos. The 360-page book is an intimate and comprehensive document on migration.

Come join us for a discussion on the book over wine and cheese. Poole will present us with some highlights from her book, followed by an informal discussion on her experience and the challenges of migration more broadly.
