Overview

Join Young Professionals of the Americas for the pre-launch of the Feria Internacional del Libro de Nueva York (FILNYC), which this year is celebrating Gabriela Mistral, the first Latin American to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. The night will feature Chilean comedian Paloma Salas in conversation with Daffne Valdés, an actress, playwright, and member of LASTESIS, moderated by Ángeles Donoso Macaya. The three will talk about their literary work and connections to Mistral, including how the Chilean poet shaped their creative practice.

The evening will open with a conversation among writers, journalists, and librarians, moderated by Daniel Marquínez of Fundación Gabo.
