Overview

Council of the Americas will hold a private, off-the-record meeting with Bloomberg reporter Eric Martin to discuss USMCA ratification from the perspective of Mexico.

Martin, Bloomberg’s Mexico City-based correspondent has been closely following key issues related to the renegotiation of NAFTA, now known as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). This meeting is timely to discuss USMCA ratification prospects in Mexico, as the labor bill designed to address the requirements in the new agreement is currently under consideration in the Mexican Senate, as well as other topics after the first 100 days of the new government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
