Teatro Real (Royal Opera of Madrid), an independently-run public foundation chaired by the King and Queen of Spain, is the leading performing arts institution in the country. In its more than 200 years of history, Teatro Real has staged thousand of performances, which have been attended by over 50 million people. In recent years, it has acquired several recognitions of excellence, including the International Opera Award as the World’s Best Opera Company in 2021. Its artistic program strives for excellence, presenting both traditional and contemporary lyrical repertoires with special attention to recovering Spanish heritage. 

Teatro Real de Madrid is back on our stage with a program of opera favorites featuring singers from their Crescendo program, which was established in 2021 to launch the careers of the world’s most exceptional vocal talents. Crescendo, Creamos Ópera is a program run by the Fundación de Amigos del Teatro Real that promotes and supports the artistic and professional development of promising young opera singers. Over 100 young artists of 20 nationalities have participated in the five editions of this training program, which offers first-class artistic training by leading professionals and artists linked to the Teatro Real, as well as support at the beginning of their careers through job opportunities.
