Prospects of a Venezuelan Debt Restructuring

The panel speakers included lawyers for Venezuela’s Creditors Committee and the Venezuelan government. Additionally, debt restructuring experts provided an overview of the country’s economy and a possible roadmap to a restructuring of the sovereign debt and that of the state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A, which amount to roughly $60 billion dollars with billions more in interests.
