Programs on Sidelines of the 2026 World Bank and IMF Spring Meetings
During the week of April 13, public-sector officials from Latin America will visit Council of the Americas in Washington to meet with members.
Overview
On the sidelines of the 2026 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), during the week of April 13, Council of the Americas will host public-sector finance officials, including central bank leaders and finance ministers from the region, for private meetings in Washington, DC.
Among the events will be a reception in honor of Peruvian Central Bank President Julio Velarde, reflecting on his two decades of service in the role.
In the fall, during the annual meetings of the World Bank and the IMF, Council of the Americas hosted a series of events featuring finance officials from Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.
