Private Luncheon with Dr. Juan Pazo, Tax and Customs Control Agency of Argentina
COA hosted a private, in-person, off-the-record meeting with the executive director of the fiscal agency, who covered the economic vision of Javier Milei.
Overview
AS/COA Miami held a private, in-person, off-the-record luncheon with Dr. Juan Alberto Pazo, executive director of the Tax and Customs Control Agency of Argentina (ARCA).
During this meeting, Dr. Pazo presented the new economic vision of the administration of President Javier Milei, explained the structural reforms underway, and previewed the challenges ahead.
Dr. Pazo also provided insights on Argentina's diversified economy and abundant natural resources. He highlighted how the Milei administration is creating unique investment opportunities in agriculture, energy, mining, technology, tourism, and real estate development. The Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI) grants substantial tax and labor benefits to companies joining the program. These incentives—including a 30-year fiscal stability guarantee—are implemented and administered by ARCA, the national agency in charge of taxation and customs.
