Overview
On September 25, 2025, President of the Government of Spain Pedro Sánchez participated in an AS/COA event with private members on the sidelines of UNGA. The president raised the importance of European-Latin American relations, including the EU-Mercosur agreement, transatlantic trade, and the upcoming EU-CELAC summit in Colombia. He also spoke about his government's efforts to advance work related to housing, security, and electricity and detailed the link between migration and growth.
Sánchez previously engaged with AS/COA in 2019 and 2018 events.
