Overview

A select group of Young Professionals of the Americas Miami members participated in a YPA Leadership Spotlight with a leader from the Miami HEAT, Lorrie-Ann "LA" Diaz

LA shared her experience working as a woman in sports; the importance of mentorship; and her role in developing the HEAT culture. This leadership conversation was moderated by one of our steering committee members, Vanessa Perez.

Event participants had the opportunity to access the Kaseya Center backstage, engage with LA in the conversation, watch the basketball game (Miami HEAT vs. Orlando Magic), and even had a surprise visit from the beloved mascot, Burnie!
