Council of the Americas will hold a conversation with Fabián López, minister of water, environment and public services of the province of Córdoba, Argentina.

Argentina is a resource and energy-rich country with strong ambitions to transform its natural wealth into economic gains while adhering to the highest standards of sustainable development. The country is working with the international community to achieve global environmental goals, with the recognition that the most effective results will be driven up from the local and regional levels.

The conversation with minister López will highlight the efforts that his province is leading on sustainable energy development and economic growth. He will discuss Córdoba’s energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, waste-to energy initiatives, alternative models of energy distribution, and the opportunities that these efforts present to the private sector.
