The Council of the Americas hosted the launch of PBS NewsHour Chief National Correspondent Ray Suarez’s new book.
Latino Americans is a five-century story starting with the first Latino, born just after the arrival of Christopher Columbus, and ending with the more than 50 million Latinos now living in the United States. In this comprehensive new book, Suarez chronicles the rich and varied history of a people who, breaking through barriers, have helped shape the United States and become the largest minority group in the country.
