João Doria

Mayor, City of São Paulo

João Doria is the mayor of São Paulo. He won the election during the first round, winning a historic 53 percent of votes. Doria is also president (on leave) of GrupoDoria, founder and president (on leave) of the executive committee of LIDE (Grupo de Líderes Empresariais), an event promotion agency founded in 2003 with 1,700 national and multinational registered member companies, accounting for 52 percent of Brazil’s private GDP, and a member of the Deliberative Council of the Social Solidarity Fund of São Paulo State.

José Berenguer is the president of J.P. Morgan Brazil, joining the company in 2013. From 2012 to 2013, he was CEO of Gávea Crédito Estruturado, responsible for the creation and development of the department of structural credit. From 2007 to 2012, Berenguer worked at Banco Santander where he was the CEO of the investments and wholesale banking division, CEO of the retail banking division, and executive vice president of asset management and investments division. He was also a member of the council for Banco Santander Brazil.

Managing Director, Fitch Ratings

Rafael Guedes is Fitch Ratings’ country business leader for Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. He is responsible for managing and overseeing Fitch’s operations in these countries. Prior to joining Fitch in 1999, Guedes worked for nine years for UBS both in Zurich and in the São Paulo Representative Office as the deputy representative. During those years, he worked in the sovereign debt and asset redeployment department and as the relationship manager for Brazilian financial institutions and corporates.

Zeina Latif is the chief-economist for Grupo XP. She has worked in various financial institutions such as HSBC Asset, ABN Amro Real, ING, and RBS. Latif has been a columnist for Agência Estado since 2013. She has lectured at Mackenzie and Ibmec. Latif has a master's and doctorate in economics by the University of São Paulo.

Managing Editor, Bloomberg Portuguese and Spanish News Services

Telma Marotto is a news manager at Bloomberg in Brazil currently in charge of Bloomberg News service in Portuguese and Spanish. She has been working at Bloomberg for the past 17 years. Currently, Marotto leads the development of the Spanish news service in Latin America just after helping develop the local language service in Brazil. Her experience at Bloomberg also includes covering the stock market and currencies, banks, as well as leading the local Bloomberg Women’s Community. Before joining Bloomberg, Marotto worked at Gazeta Mercantil’s real-time service.

Rodolfo G. Spielmann is managing director and head of Latin America at CPP Investment Board. In this role, he is a member of CPPIB's Latam regional Investment Committee and leads all of CPPIB's investment activities in the Latin America region, including Public and Private Markets, Real Estate and Investment Partnerships, covering equity, debt, and real asset investments. Matheus Villares is the managing director for Temasek Brazil, heading Temasek’s Brazilian office since September 2008. He is a board member of Hidrovias do Brasil, Klabin, and Burger King Brazil. Prior to joining Temasek, Villares was head of M&A for Citigroup Capital Markets in Brazil and for M&A in Latin America at Goldman Sachs & Co before that. He holds a bachelor's in production engineering from the University of São Paulo and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
