Healthy middle classes in Mexico and Chile are fueling solid growth in the real estate sector.

It’s been a rocky six months for the Mexican peso thanks to uncertainty on the other side of the northern border, but one sector could be both an anchor and buoy for Mexico: real estate. The country is one of the best performers in terms of growth in real estate equity among emerging markets, and analysts see “pent-up demand” for housing units, which could prove to be an opportunity for developers.
