On April 16, COA hosted a high-level dialogue in Washington, in collaboration with the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO), to explore how digital health and artificial intelligence can expand access and strengthen health systems across the Americas. The event featured PAHO Director Dr. Jarbas Barbosa, PAHO Deputy Director Mary Lou Valdez, and members of PAHO’s leadership team, alongside Stephanie Carlton of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The discussion offered a rich exchange on how digital health, innovation, and artificial intelligence can be leveraged to strengthen healthcare systems, expand access to care, and enhance resilience and efficiency across the Americas.
