Letter to the Editor: Brazil’s Democracy Is Strong

The article "An Insecure Bolsonaro prepares for his own January 6," published on March 30, deviates from the sober and reasonable content that one has come to expect from Americas Quarterly. Based on a forced analogy with American politics and pure speculation, the article incorrectly states that democracy in Brazil is under imminent danger. In fact, not the slightest sign of a rupture exists in our nation’s institutions, which have consistently proved their vigor.
