Before coming to the Treasury, Paulson was the chairman and chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 1974, he was a member of the White House Domestic Council and served as a staff assistant to the president and the defense secretary.

For nearly four decades, the annual Washington Conference on the Americas has served as the top forum for government, industry, and policy leaders to engage in substantive analysis on timely themes affecting the Western Hemisphere.
