AS/COA Condemns the Assassination of the President of Haiti Jovenel Moïse

"We stand with the people of Haiti during this difficult time," said AS/COA President and CEO Susan Segal.

Americas Society and Council of the Americas (AS/COA) condemn the assassination of the President of Haiti Jovenel Moïse. This terrible event is an attack on democracy in the Western Hemisphere.  

“We deplore this horrific assassination, which violates the values of democracy and rule of law that lie at the core our mission. We stand with the people of Haiti during this difficult time,” said AS/COA President and CEO Susan Segal.

AS/COA offers condolences to the Haitian people and our hope that peace will be swiftly restored.
