Video: Book Launch - The Economic Development of Latin America since Independence

Renowned economist José Antonio Ocampo joined AS/COA on March 14 to discuss his new book, The Economic Development of Latin America since Independence with Christopher Sabatini and George Gray Molina. The book, co-authored with Luis Bertola, includes original research and empirical data on trade and free trade agreements, capital flows, Latin America’s insertion into the global economy, human development and inequality, and the impact of these patterns and structures for the region’s future. "On the social side we're doing relatively well; on the economics side, we really have to do a major effort at developing innovations systems," noted Ocampo.
