Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Ramón Sosa Mirabal holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Catholic University Andrés Bello in Caracas. Throughout his career Mr. Sosa has attended different advanced management courses in the United States, the UK and Venezuela on marketing, strategic planning, external relations risk management and corporate responsibility.

Along the last 25 years he has managed the Corporate Affairs function for corporations, such as IBM, BP, SINCOR (Total-Statoil-PDVSA), Santander Banco de Venezuela, Petrobras and since 13 years ago is the Corporate Affairs Director for Cargill covering the Andean Region including Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. Since 2018 he is based in Colombia to support the Investment plans of the company after the acquisition of a poultry operation in 2017.

Ramon Sosa is a specialist in the design and implementation of strategies to identify risks from the environment, develop issues management and ensure the License to Operate. He also leads the GR strategies in the region, design and implement image positioning strategies for the company as well as brand positioning and CSR.

Mr. Sosa is an active volunteer in different organizations and has served on the boards of: United Way Worldwide, United Way Venezuela, United Way Colombia, VenAmcham, Centro Venezolano Americano, Camara de Comercio Venezolana-Colombiana and AmCham Colombia where he leads the Agro-Industry Committee.
