José Luis Daza is the founder and CIO of QFR Capital Management, L.P. Before founding QFR, Daza was a managing director of Integrated Finance Limited, a financial advisory and asset management firm based in New York. From 2001 to 2003, Daza was the global head of Emerging Markets Strategy at Deutsche Bank, responsible for research on Asia, Europe, and Latin America. He was also a member of Deutsche’s Emerging Markets Global Management Committee. From 1992 to 2001, Daza was a managing director and head of Emerging Markets Research at JP Morgan also responsible for Asia, Europe, and Latin America. For a period of time, Daza was also head Global Strategist of Credit. At JP Morgan, Daza’s team development key benchmark indices such as EMBIG and ELMI+. Previously, he worked as the representative of the Central Bank of Chile in Asia, based in Tokyo (1989-1992). He also worked at the Inter-American Development Bank as an advisor to the board of directors (1985-1989). Daza studied for his Ph.D. in economics at Georgetown University, where he received his master´s degree. He studied economics at Universidad de Chile and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the American University in Washington, D.C.
