João Batista do Carmo Aquino has been director of Refinaria Abreu Lima, S.A. since March of 2008.  Prior to this, he has worked for Petrobras since 1977, where he held positions in the areas of engineering, project management, portfolio management and business budgeting. Mr. Aquino received an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with specialization in Process Equipment Engineering from Petrobras / UFRJ and Corporate Finance from FGV / Petrobras.
