Overview

The emerging technology which operates on a distributed ledger has been billed for its enormous potential to reshape the way that business is conducted and financial transactions are executed. Bitcoin, the popular cryptocurrency that runs on blockchain, has given the technology some traction. But apart from that, blockchain is still in its infancy stages.

Council of the Americas will hold a panel discussion with experts who will break down what exactly blockchain is, explain why it has garnered so much hype, and share examples of how it is being put to use in Latin America.
