2025 Latin America Cities Conferences: São Paulo
Council of the Americas and FIESP will convene leaders on August 26 to explore Brazil’s role in sustainable development ahead of COP30.
Overview
São Paulo 2025: The New Global Landscape and the Role of the Private Sector in Sustainable Development
As COP30 approaches, Brazil and the world are undergoing a transformation in the geopolitical landscape that is reshaping global climate strategies. Amid changing investment flows, new industrial policies, and rising demand for green innovation, Brazil has a unique opportunity to emerge as a leader in building a more resilient, low-carbon economy.
The Council of the Americas conference, in partnership with Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo (FIESP), will bring together government officials, business leaders, and experts to discuss how the private sector can drive solutions towards sustainable development—from pioneering new technologies to building cleaner, more inclusive value chains. The event will address topics such as the energy transition, the circular economy, sustainable finance instruments, and Brazil’s role as a strategic partner in building climate solutions in a rapidly changing world.
This event is open to COA corporate members and special guests, by-invitation-only.
The program will be in Portuguese. Interpretation will be provided.
