Associate, Corporate Relations

The Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA) are organizations whose members share a common commitment to economic development, free trade, the rule of law, and democracy throughout the Western Hemisphere.

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and detail-oriented professional to join our Corporate Relations team. The Corporate Relations team oversees the management and engagement of the Council of the Americas’ 200+ corporate members and drives the development and execution of sponsorship opportunities across the organization.

The Associate will support the execution of sponsorship programs, manage and maintain corporate members’ relations and contribute to the overall success of the Corporate Relations team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Corporate Membership & Sponsorship Support

  • Support the delivery of corporate membership and sponsorship benefits, working closely with the director of memberships and the director of sponsorships, to ensure strong value and engagement.
  • Participate in ongoing communications with constituents to discuss and understand their specific interests and priorities in Latin American countries. With this information, contribute to the development and execution of the sponsorship & membership strategy.
  • Assist in drafting, maintaining, and distributing corporate membership and sponsorship materials, including member profiles, activity reports, proposals, presentations, and additional resources as needed.
  • Participate in the prospecting and onboarding process for new corporate members, ensuring smooth integration and coordinating communication across internal teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our programs, media, and web teams to coordinate sponsor integration and visibility.

Billing & Records Management

  • Prepare, record, and manage corporate membership invoices and payments, serving as the primary point of contact for related billing and compliance inquiries, including follow‑ups on outstanding invoices.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and consistently updated stakeholder records in the CRM system, ensuring data quality and timely entry of all relevant information.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and strong team player who can balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Interest in Latin American is highly encouraged. Additional qualifications include:

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate studies in communications, business, international relations, or related field preferred 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced business-level Spanish required (Portuguese a plus).
  • Ability to interact with members in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with content design in Canva a plus.
  • Experience with CRM platforms preferred, familiarity with Fonteva (Salesforce) a plus

AS/COA employees work on a hybrid schedule, with three days of the week spent in the office and two days remotely. Employees may be required to work onsite more than three days per week when programming demands.

Salary Range: $60k-65k.
