2013 Latin American Cities Conferences Buenos Aires – Argentina: Economic and Political Perspectives

The tenth annual conference will focus on Argentina's economic and political outlook leading up to the October legislative elections, as well as innovations in education throughout the hemisphere.

New York, August 16, 2013—For the tenth year, Americas Society and Council of the Americas will hold the organization's annual Buenos Aires conference in partnership with the Argentine Chamber of Commerce. “Argentina: Economic and Political Perspectives” takes place on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year’s conference will focus on Argentina’s economic outlook, the country´s political prospects leading up to the legislative elections, and education throughout the hemisphere. This conference will be webcast live.

In Argentina, legislative elections take place in October. AS/COA’s Buenos Aires conference will bring together ministers, local governors, and congressional candidates to discuss the political and economic outlook leading up to the vote. A group of senior public officials and private sector leaders will also analyze how the Western Hemisphere is forming partnerships and innovating education through technology.
