Audio: Sabatini on USAID Funding in Cuba

On NPR, AS/COA’s Christopher Sabatini commented on the debate around USAID programs on the island.

Between 2009 and 2011, USAID received more than $27 million to fund projects in Cuba. Though the agency denied the money was funneled to dissidents, USAID contractor Alan Gross' recent release brought the issue to light again. Speaking on NPR, AS/COA’s Senior Policy Director Christopher Sabatini explains why the debate remains contentious.
