The first AS/COA Panama Investment Conference kicked off with Minister Augusto Arosemena's presentation on the advantages for companies that choose to invest in the isthmus country. According to the minister, Panama's economy is projected to grow over six percent annually through 2021, a figure boosted in part by the more than 10 percent of the country's GDP that comes from foreign direct investment. Arosemena explained the country not only provides a strategic position in terms of logistics but also has a legal framework that supports and protects investors.
