Minister of Economy and Public Finances Axel Kicillof compared Argentina’s past and present economic situations and described how to accomplish growth moving forward. “The economy can't be indiscriminately open or closed. Economic policy involves a balance,” he said as he emphasized that “consumption and investments are not a contradiction.” Kicillof said that in order to successfully target the challenges that Argentina will face, the country needs a committed government as well as inclusive economic and political policies.
