Now is the time to invest in Argentina, said Foreign Affairs Minister Susana Malcorra at an AS/COA event in partnership with Argencon in New York, highlighting the new government's success in securing some $50 billion in foreign investment in April. Other government officials and business executives emphasized the opportunities that lie particularly in the service, IT, and entertainment sectors. But there also needs to be more public-private partnerships, the Ambassador of Argentina to the U.S. Martín Lousteau pointed out. "One of the key issues for Argentina is to increase public sector productivity," he said, "and that's hard to do without collaborating with the private sector."
