Kathryn Rooney Vera is senior macroeconomic strategist and a partner at Bulltick Capital Markets, a financial services boutique that specializes in serving international clients. She is responsible for the analysis of Latin American economies and markets as well as the effects of U.S. monetary and fiscal policy on this region. Prior to her current position, Rooney Vera served as an economist and strategist at Bear Stearns in Emerging Markets Fixed Income Research, where she covered the Latin America region. Prior to such appointment, she worked on the buy-side as a sovereign analyst at MetLife Investments where she conducted in-depth economic analyses on emerging markets. Rooney Vera is a frequent contributor to major newswires and local press in Latin America, and often appears on financial news networks (Bloomberg Television, Fox Business, CNN, CNN en español, CNBC).
