Aníbal Sabater is a partner at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP. In 2013, Mr. Sabater moved to the firm's New York office after having worked in Houston office since 2003. He specializes in international arbitration and the representation of clients in cross-cultural legal settings. He is also a licensed lawyer in various US jurisdictions, England and Wales (solicitor), and Spain.  Prior to this, Mr. Sabater practiced law in the field of international dispute resolution between 1997 and 2003. He usually serves as counsel in complex cases conducted in English and/or Spanish under major international arbitration rules such as the AAA/ICDR, ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC and UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. Additionally, he is frequently appointed to serve as an arbitrator in international cases and is a member of the ICDR international list of arbitrators. Mr. Sabater’s transnational legal experience extends to advising parties on pre-dispute matters and conflict of foreign laws. He has also been involved in cross-border litigation, mediation, and conciliation matters, as well as in cases before the European Court of Human Rights and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. Mr. Sabater received his J.D. and Ph.D. from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid.
