Aníbal Gaviria Correa
Aníbal Gaviria Correa is the mayor of Medellín. Previously, Gaviria Correa served as the governor of Antioquia from 2004 to 200. During his tenure, he collaborated with local leaders to further development and improve equality for the people of Antioquia. Gaviria Correa was recognized as the best governor in Colombia in 2007 by the Proyecto Colombia Líder and his approval rating reached 89% while he was in office. In 2009, he was a presidential candidate from the Partido Liberal and later became their vicepresidential running mate in the 2010. He is a business administrator at the Universidad EAFIT and he recently continued his own studies at the Extension School at Harvard University. Gaviria Correa has also participated as a fellow in various courses at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

En su trayectoria en la administración pública, Sr. Gaviria Correa se destaca su periodo como gobernador de Antioquia entre 2004 y 2007, donde orientó su gestión hacia el trabajo unificado con los demás actores del departamento en la búsqueda de equidad y mayores niveles de desarrollo para el pueblo antioqueño. En 2007 fue reconocido como el mejor gobernador de Colombia por el Proyecto Colombia Líder. Su gestión como mandatario alcanzó un 89% de favorabilidad. En el año 2009 fue precandidato presidencial del Partido Liberal y luego fórmula vicepresidencial de su partido en las elecciones de 2010. Es administrador de Negocios de la Universidad EAFIT, recientemente, adelantó estudios en la Escuela de Extensión de la Universidad de Harvard y ha participado como fellow en diferentes cursos de la John F. Kennedy School of Government de la misma institución.
