AS/COA will host a discussion on Latin America's 2018 economic outlook with Alejandro Werner, director of the Western Hemisphere Department at the International Monetary Fund. With presidential elections in many Latin American countries and external factors such as higher interest rates, volatile exchange rates, and the new relationship between the United States and Latin America, the forecast for 2018 remains uncertain. Werner will discuss the challenges and opportunities for economic growth in the hemisphere in this atmosphere.

Speakers:

  • Alejandro Werner, Director, Western Hemisphere Department, International Monetary Fund
  • José Enrique Arrioja, Editor, Reportero, Bloomberg Spanish @ArriojaJoseE (moderator)
