Colombia: A Conversation with U.S. Ambassador Kevin Whitaker

Council of the Americas will hold a private, off-the-record briefing with the U.S. Ambassador to Colombia, Kevin Whitaker. Ambassador Whitaker will discuss the state of the U.S.-Colombia relationship and prospects for the future.

Prior to his appointment in Bogotá, he was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South America in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs. In addition, Mr. Whitaker has served in Honduras, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, where he was Deputy Chief of Mission (2005-07).
