Letter from the President: We're Counting on You

Help make 2016 programming even more dynamic with a contribution to Americas Society, writes AS/COA's Susan Segal.

2015 has been an exciting, dynamic year here at Americas Society— thanks to the loyalty and generous support of valued individuals like you who share our commitment in positively impacting the region.

Some of our favorite moments from this year include:

  • Moderno: Design for Living in Brazil, Mexico, and Venezuela, 1940-1978 not only received terrific reviews from The New York Times and other major outlets, but also traveled to the Blanton Museum in Austin, Texas.
  • Our Cuba Working Group built on the momentum for greater U.S.-Cuba normalization through delegation trips to the island, policy briefings, and expert discussions in New York, Washington DC, and Miami.
  • Showcasing top young performers from Latin America's leading opera house, Teatro Colón, who came to Americas Society for another sold-out U.S. premiere opera production.
  • Hosting 90+ public policy panels, breakfasts, and lunches—all free of charge—engaging policymakers, opinion leaders, students, and cultural figures from across the region.

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, we are counting on your support. Your gift is very important—at any level—to continue strengthening our leadership, expand our programmatic activity in the United States and Latin America, and extend the reach of our content across traditional and new media platforms in 2016.

To make your gift today of $50, $100, $250, or any other amount—please click here, or mail a check payable to Americas Society, Year-End Appeal, 680 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10065.

My team and I wish you all the best this holiday season, and we hope to see you often in 2016.
