Americas Society Fetes Dimon as UJA Gives Och Award to Keswin
JP Morgan Chief Executive Jamie Dimon and Founder of Grupo Aval Juan Carlos Sarmiento Angulo received the Americas Society’s Gold Medal for their outstanding achievements.
On Friday morning on the south coast of England, JPMorgan chief executive Jamie Dimon said the European Union “is one of the greatest endeavors of all time."
On Thursday night at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street, he was singing the praises of the Americas Society, founded 51 years ago “to foster an understanding of the contemporary political, social and economic issues confronting Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada," according to its website.
All in an international day’s work. While Dimon had an anti-Brexit agenda in England, his appearance at the Americas Society Spring Party was more honorific as the banker received the organization’s Gold Medal. The same medal also went to Colombian billionaire Luis Carlos Sarmiento Angulo, founder of Grupo Aval, who enjoyed the music of the Hank Lane Orchestra in the company of his children and grandchildren….
