"Donald Trump really hasn't factored in as a reason why Mexicans are choosing the person they're going to vote for," said AS/COA Online Editor-in-Chief Carin Zissis at CNN International, explaining the main reasons for Andrés Manuel López Obrador's landslide victory in Mexico's July 1 presidential election.
Zissis talked with CNN's George K. Howell about how López Obrador, known as AMLO, delivered a familiar message in a consistent language at his third go at the presidency amid voter discontent over corruption and violence. She explained that, in spite of comparisons between Donald Trump and AMLO, Mexico's next president won based on domestic issues.
