In anticipation of the April 2012 Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Colombia, Americas Society/Council of the Americas established a working group of senior private-sector leaders from the United States and the region to develop recommendations on job creation to be shared with participating governments. The Summit of the Americas Working Group members share international private sector experience and a common commitment to job creation. Group members are dedicated to helping create and shape the talent and skill levels necessary for job growth and the expansion of investment and operations throughout the hemisphere.
Report: The Private Sector’s Commitment to Job Creation: Recommendations to the Leaders. This report details specific recommendations on public-private partnerships in the creation of jobs. The recommendations are intended to serve as a vehicle for private-sector input into the Summit of the Americas agenda.
