Luis Felipe Cerón
Luis Felipe Cerón is currently CEO of AES Gener S.A., the second largest generating company in Chile. He is also president of the Andes SBU, which includes AES businesses in Chile, Colombia, and Argentina. Cerón has been in AES since it acquired Gener in late 2000. He joined Gener in 1993 as CEO of Guacolda and then moved to Argentina to run Central Puerto before going back to Chile to run Gener’s operations in this country. Prior to joining Gener, Cerón worked for the Chilean National Energy Commission and was vice president of Business Development for SQM, a major Chilean mining company. He holds an industrial engineering degree, with a major in electrical engineering, from the Catholic University of Chile and a master’s in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics.

Además, es presidente de Andes SBU, que incluye los negocios de AES en Chile, Colombia y Argentina. Cerón ha estado en AES desde que adquirió Gener a fines del 2000. Se unió a la compañía en 1993, como gerente general de Guacolda y luego se mudó a Argentina para dirigir Central Puerto antes de regresar a Chile para liderar las operaciones de Gener en este país. Antes de juntarse a Gener, trabajó para la Comisión Nacional de Energía de Chile y fue gerente de Desarrollo de SQM, una importante empresa minera chilena. Cerón es ingeniero industrial con especialidad en ingeniería eléctrica de la Universidad Católica de Chile. Además, cuenta con una maestría en contabilidad y finanzas del London School of Economics.
