Music of the Americas presents Mexican jazz singer Magos Herrera and Spanish flamenco guitarist Javier Limón in a special Valentine's concert featuring guest musician Grégoire Maret (harmonica).

About the artists

Born in Mexico City and currently based in New York City, Magos Herrera has one of the most distinctive voices on the Latin American jazz scene. She is known for rhythmic scatting and captivating singing. Herrera is also an accomplished songwriter who is popular throughout Latin America.
 Her first recording project with Grammy Award-winning producer and guitarist Javier Limón, Dawn, was released in 2014 on Sony’s OKeh Records to critical acclaim; they have toured their latest project He For She in support of the UN campaign. As a duo, Limón and Herrera have performed at Lincoln Center’s American Songbook Series, the Festival Cervantino in Guanajuato, the Festival del Centro Histórico in Mexico City, and Brooklyn's National Sawdust.
