Overview

Americas Society/Council of the Americas will hold a timely program on food security in the midst of COVID-19 and Latin America's role in building and participating in resilient global food supply chains. 

Latin America is an important region in the global food security space. The region plays an increasingly critical role in feeding the world now and after COVID-19. The panelists will examine the challenges and opportunities in securing supply chains, protecting fisheries, and working toward economic recovery and social well-being, all critical in ensuring food security for the hemisphere and world.
