Overview

Council of the Americas will hold a private meeting on the future of Venezuela with opposition leader and noted human rights advocate María Corina Machado.

Machado served as an elected member of the National Assembly of Venezuela. She was the founder and former president of the Venezuelan volunteer civil organization Súmate. She is National Coordinator of Vente Venezuela and a member of the steering committee of the opposition coalition Soy Venezuela. She will join the meeting via a live interactive video conference from Caracas.
