2016 Monterrey Conference: Investment Opportunities and Urban Innovation in Nuevo León

Government officials and private sector leaders will share perspectives on the region's growth at the September 12 conference.

New York, September 6, 2016—Monterrey is known for its favorable business climate and large industrial base. However, as the Nuevo León state moves toward a knowledge-based economy marked by high technology development and innovation, the region is undergoing major changes in its political and economic environments. The state has also experienced exponential population growth, increasing the need for urban and infrastructure planning to address these challenges.

For the second time, Americas Society/Council of the Americas, in partnership with ProMéxico, will bring its Latin American Cities Conference series to Monterrey on Monday, September 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Club Industrial. Convening public officials and private sector leaders, the event will focus on the region’s growth and development as well as investment opportunities. The conference will be webcast live
