2015 San José Conference - Costa Rica: A New Investment Opportunity

President Luis Guillermo Solís will provide remarks at the June 25 conference analyzing the country's economic and investment outlook.

New York, June 18, 2015 – Although Costa Rica continues to draw investors from around the world, challenges remain when it comes to boosting investment levels. Since taking office, President Luis Guillermo Solís has worked to increase the volume and nature of foreign direct investment. Despite the region’s weakening trade environment, the International Monetary Fund projects Costa Rica’s GDP to grow at 3.8 percent in 2015.

Americas Society/Council of the Americas, in partnership with Costa Rica’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE), will hold its San José conference on Thursday, June 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT). “Costa Rica: A New Investment Opportunity” will bring together government officials and private-sector representatives to analyze the country's economic and investment outlook. This conference will be webcast live.
