The October legislative elections were an important milestone for Argentina that increased the probability that President Maurcio Macri can reconfigure the country's economy, said the President of the Central Bank of Argentina Federico Sturzenegger at the 2017 Argentina Investment Conference. In a conversation with BlackRock Chairman and CEO Larry Fink, Sturzenegger discussed the country's vast progress on issues from inflation to monetary policy, as well as pending agenda items like labor reform and infrastructure projects. Market projections of 10 percent GDP growth accumulated over the next three years will help the government take in at least 3 percent of GDP to fund such projects, he noted.
