CBC News: Susan Segal on How Trump's Plan Stacks Up for U.S.-Mexican Ties

The United States trades $1.5 billion worth of goods a day with Mexico—ties that are far from easy to unbind, says AS/COA's Susan Segal. "I actually don't think it's possible for him to follow up on all of the promises or threats that he's made," said Segal while participating in CBC News' The Exchange. With U.S. goods making up 40 percent of Mexico's exports to the United States, breaking the countries' tightly knit supply chains will be difficult and costly to American consumers, she says.
