Pedro Pablo Kuczynski
Pedro Pablo Kuczynski was elected president of Peru in 2016. Previously, he was prime minister (2005–2006), economy and finance minister (2001–2002, 2004–2005), energy and mines minister (1980–1982), head of the Central Bank (1961–1969). Kuczynski was a partner of the Latin America Private Equity fund and a senior advisor at The Rohatyn Group. He was the founder, president, and chief executive officer of both the Latin American Enterprise Fund and Westfield Capital from 1992 to 2001. Kuczynski was the chief executive officer and president of Halco Mining from 1977 to 1980 and worked in various positions with the World Bank, the IMF, and the Reserve Bank of Peru. Kuczynski received a master’s in public administration from the Woodrow Wilson School for Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s in philosophy, politics, and economics from Exeter College at Oxford University.
