Overview
Council of the Americas will hold a briefing and interactive discussion on the U.S.-Argentina Commercial Dialogue, which will be officially launched in Washington, DC on October 27.
This readout, following government-to-government meetings earlier in the day, will be a unique opportunity for the business community to provide input to senior U.S. and Argentine government officials on topics such as regulatory coherence, trade facilitation, and investment cooperation.
Following President Barack Obama and U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker’s visit to Argentina in March 2016, the Department of Commerce and the Ministry of Production of Argentina signed a memorandum of intent establishing the U.S.-Argentina Commercial Dialogue. The Dialogue aims to strengthen the trade relationship between the U.S. and Argentine governments by removing impediments to increasing bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.
Speakers:
- Francisco Cabrera, Minister of Production of Argentina
- Penny Pritzker, Secretary of Commerce of the United States
- Miguel Braun, Secretary of Commerce of Argentina
- Ken Hyatt, Acting Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade of the United States
