Overview

Join AS/COA and the World Bank for a luncheon discussion on the role of the private sector in security and violence prevention in the Northern Triangle with a focus on El Salvador. Why and how should business get involved, and how can business work in cooperation with policymakers? Speakers will explore their on-the-ground experience in violence prevention working with former gang member reinsertion and programs directed toward high-risk youth. This on-the-record event will coincide with the release of an Americas Society policy brief, Security in Central America’s Northern Triangle: Violence Reduction and the Role of the Private Sector in El Salvador, and follows a series of public-private roundtables in El Salvador held by AS/COA in collaboration with the World Bank and funded by Open Society Foundations.

This event is complimentary for all registrants but prior registration is required.

Please register no later than December 10, so the World Bank can issue guest passes for security.

Please also arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event so you have time to get your guest passes and go through security at the World Bank.
