Overview

Council of the Americas will hold a private meeting with Panama’s secretary of energy, Victor Carlos Urrutia.

Panama is booming, expanding, and diversifying. Its economy is one of the fastest-growing in Latin America, a newly-renovated canal will service surging global energy flows, and a new liquified natural gas (LNG) import facility-the first in Central America-is set to deliver a cleaner, more competitive fuel for Panama and the region. These changing dynamics are reshaping and elevating Panama’s role on the global energy stage. Please join us for an important discussion on the opportunities this evolution presents for investment, regional competitiveness, and Central American energy integration.
